Work of RA NA Extraordinary Session Continues

On July 7, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the extraordinary session convened on the previous day.

The parliament ended the debate of the annual report on Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2016, which was passed with 52 for, 23 against and 2 abstained.

The parliament debated the report of the implementation of the monetary policy programme of the Central Bank (CB) of the Republic of Armenia for 2016, presented by Artur Javadyan.

The RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan presented the conclusion of the RA Government.

In his co-report the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan has noted that in terms of economic growth and inflation more progressive development is provided.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Mikayel Melkumyan touched upon several most important interpellations.

In his final speech the RA CB Chairman Artur Javadyan referred to the sounded concerns and presented clarifications.

The Chairman of the RA Control Chamber Levon Yolyan presented the annual report of the RA Control Chamber (CC) for 2016.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Samvel Nikoyan in his co-report highlighted the presentation of the recommendations by the CC to the parliament and the government for the settlement of the problems.

The Chairman of the National Commission on Television and Radio Gagik Buniatyan presented for debate the report on Activities of the National Commission on Television and Radio for 2016.

The RA NA deputies Ruzanna Muradyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Armen Ashotyan and Gevorg Petrosyan expressed their viewpoints on the report.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov delivered an extraordinary speech regarding the issue.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker touched upon the upbringing activities of the mass media and highlighted the young generation’s upbringing being consonant with the system of values acceptable for us. Arman Saghatelyan presented his viewpoints on teh sphere and noted that during recent years everyday serious work was done and is done to improve the quality of the programmes and provide information to the public. Felix Tsolakyan expressed his concern on unduly circulating news sometimes on the websites and noted that in most cases it is necessary to stop and the news circulation.

In his final speech Gagik Buniatyan referred to the deputies’ speeches and gave clarifications.

According to the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan, the parliament debated the report on Activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia for 2016.

The RA NA deputies Artak Zeynalyan and Edmon Marukyan expressed their viewpoints on the issue, talked about the problems existing in the judicial law enforcement systems, the necessity of fair judicial examinations and some corruption manifestations in the sphere.

The National Assembly will continue the work of the extraordinary session on July 10, at 10:00.
